Zpacks Free Zip 2P Freestanding Tent - weighing in at under 900 grams (2 pounds), this tent combines simplicity and versatility, setting it apart from most other ultralight backpacking tents. On calm nights, it can be set up without stakes or guy-lines, while in stormy alpine conditions, it can be securely anchored with up to 10 stakes.

Its freestanding design makes it ideal for challenging terrains such as beach sand, snow, granite, tent platforms, and compacted sites, where trekking pole style tents can be more difficult to pitch. Whether you're ultralight backpacking, bikepacking, or packing for a canoe or kayak trip, the Free Zip 2P is a reliable choice.

The Free Zip features a quick, simple to pitch double X frame design which excels in high-wind situations. Best of all, the heavy duty Easton Carbon 6.3 poles fold down to a scant 12" (30.5 cm) allowing them to easily pack with the tent horizontally in small backpacks and bike panniers.

This tent offers the versatility of a freestanding design combined with the ultralight benefits of Dyneema® Composite Fabric, making the Free Zip a go-to tent for any backpacking adventure.

MATERIAL: .55 oz/sqyd (blue and olive) or .75 oz/sqyd (spruce green) Standard Dyneema® Composite Fabric

Dyneema® Composite Fabric has several advantages over other materials:

  • High strength to weight ratio – the material can handle high wind force and does not tear easily.
  • Chemical free, PFC free
  • Waterproof – there is no DWR or coating to worry about wearing out. The material will not absorb significant water that will add water weight to your pack
  • Stretch-free – the tent will stay taut all night. Nylon material by comparison can stretch and sag, especially if it gets wet.
  • Taped seams – our seams are sewn for strength then taped water tight. The tie outs have bonded reinforcements for high strength. No seam sealing will be necessary!
  • Easily repairable – Any damage can easily be fixed in the field with our Dyneema® Composite Fabric Repair Tape.
  • This tent is semi-transparent. In bright sunlight, a fuzzy silhouette of a person sitting inside the tent would be visible, but you cannot see any details. It has a suitable amount of privacy for changing clothes.
  • In lower light (such as in the evening or at night), you cannot see through at all. Another nice thing about this material is that you can see the outlines of trees and your surroundings for a more immersed outdoor experience.

TOTAL WEIGHT:
896 g / 31.6 oz includes guy lines, sewn in linelocs, taped seams, poles and pole sack.

A piece of repair tape and two spare zipper sliders are included with each tent. Your choice of canopy material will change the total weight.

The Free Zip 2P is a dedicated freestanding tent which pitches with four included tent poles that are used to create an unique "double X" design. It can be pitched on difficult surfaces like bedrock, compacted dirt, sand, snow or other places that staking is inconvenient.
The domed shape creates steep angles at the head and foot of the tent, resulting in a ton of of useable space. It is a palace for one hiker with gear, or comfortable for a couple on standard width pads. Even the tallest hikers will have enough head and foot clearance to avoid brushing the steep walls.
The included Easton Carbon 6.3 tent poles are made with proven technology and are the cutting edge of strength and weight. These poles are thicker and stronger than the Easton Carbon 3.9 poles used on Duplex Flex shelter. Best of all, the poles fold down to a scant 30.5 cm (12") allowing them to easily pack with the tent horizontally in small backpacks and bike paniers.
The Free Zip is Zpacks best tent in demanding, high wind situations. The Easton Carbon poles can handle a gale with minimal deflection. The tent body comes down nearly to the ground at the ends to help block cold wind. It pitches with a lower profile and a smaller footprint compared to our non-freestanding tents.
The tent can be picked up and moved around after inserting the poles to find the perfect root-free spot.
The tent can be pitched with zero stakes and zero guy lines on lazy nights in calm weather. The storm doors can be draped loose to block light rain and add privacy, or stake them out to brace them against the wind. In typical conditions you will likely want to use six stakes to anchor the corners and storm doors.
In high wind, alpine weather four additional included guylines can be looped on to the tie outs located near the middle of each door. A fully staked out set up, utilizing all available attachment points, would require 10 stakes.
Symmetrical design allows two adults to lay side by side in either direction, creating a superior sleeping experience for couples. Couples can sit up side by side facing out either door.
The four storm doors can be left open on nice weather nights for a breeze and great views, and the overhanging canopy prevents light rain or wet trees from dripping into your living space with the doors open. Close the upwind doors to block cold wind, or close all four for 360° rain protection.
Both sides of the tent feature a peak vent to increase air flow and deter condensation when the doors are closed. The peak vents also provide air flow in the event that the perimeter is buried in snow.
Each screen door has a rainbow zipper which allows easy entry regardless of which storm doors are closed, and they give you access to every vestibule area. Each screen door conveniently drops inwards rather than hanging in your way. No need to roll it up or secure it.
All zippers on the tent have been designed to allow the sliders to easily be replaced in the field. Two replacement sliders are included with the tent. Zipper slider replacement instructions can be found here.
Rainbow zippers on both sides of the tent allow easy entry regardless of which doors are closed, and they give you access to every vestibule area.
This tent has a solid, sewn in 12.5 cm (5 inch) tall bathtub floor. The bathtub floor is a rectangle 112 cm wide by 2.18 m long (44 inches  x 86 inches). The floor width will fit two adults side by side on standard width sleeping pads, or the tent is excellent for one hiker to spread out with gear.
Mesh pockets are conveniently located near each screen door so that they can be accessed from inside or outside the tent. They are a good place to store your cell phone, glasses, headlamp, the tent stuff sack, and spare seam tape (included). The pocket is about 20 cm x 15 cm (8" x 6").
A separate groundsheet is NOT required for this shelter. The floor material is reasonably durable, and all Dyneema® Composite Fabric gear can be easily patched in the field with repair tape. If you do prefer to use a groundsheet as a precaution, Flat Groundsheets are available.
There is screen between the bathtub floor and the walls at the ends of the tarp. The edges of the floor are elevated ensuring the screen slopes downwards away from the bathtub. Any condensation, which single wall shelters may experience, will run down the walls and out through the downward sloping screen, rather than onto the floor. Click here for tips to avoid condensation.
The tent packs down small, around 15 cm x 30 cm (6” x 12”) including the tent poles. It ships in a loose 18 cm x 33 cm (7” x 13”) stuff sack. The poles have their own stuff sack to protect the tent fabric when packed together.
Dyneema Composite Fabric is naturally waterproof and is not treated with any potentially harmful chemicals such as flame retardants or water repellents.
All Zpacks gear has a two year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.

Integrated 2,5 cm thick foam back panel

Awesome robo-vac/mop with rotating mop head/no pads.
Size: E25 Black
I owned a Narwal Freo for 1 year and it died right after the warranty period was up. Tried replacing the battery but that did not fix the issue so I had to purchase another one. I noticed this eufy had high reviews and the 1 star reviews seemed to be just isolated issues so I purchased this one. Right away I noticed that the instructions/setup was much more simple. Second this one has a big wide mop roller on the front and after mopping I didn't see the mop streaks in circular patterns on the floor like I did with the Narwal as it had two rotating mop heads on the front so the single mop roller seems to be a better solution. Setup consisted of removing protective wrappers off of the tanks and base station, filling up the clean water tank, installing the detergent bottle and plugging it in. Next I downloaded the app and connecting the vac/mop to my network. This was SIMPLE to say the least. From there I could have just clicked clean on the app and it would clean the entire house. However, mapping gives you more flexibility when planning your cleaning ritual. You can define no go zones and clean rooms in any order you choose. I have a shedding dog so I have a separate robovac to clean up the dog hair prior to vac/mopping. This is a MUST with any robovac/mop combo as the dog hair on the floor will mix with the water and detergent and eventually prevent the mop from doing a good job. It will make a mess in the bottom tray of the base station too. I learned this through experience and reading all the one star reviews from customers. Robovac only cleaners last a LONG time. I had one that is still working great for over 3 years. All I had to do was replace the battery so it doesn't have to pause the job to recharge. So the mapping only took 4 minutes and it was pretty accurate. After the mapping I defined the room boundaries and renamed the rooms. Next I sent it off to clean and it did a FABULOUS JOB! No streaks and the floors are clean. The noise level is really low and more quiet than the Narwal. The other thing I noticed is it didn't use up much water to rinse the mop while cleaning. The Narwal used a lot of water and I was always dumping dirty water and adding fresh. I will always have a robomop and robovac as they save me so much time by not having to do this job twice a week. Connectivity to my network is excellent as it's in a location far from the router. This vac/mop is a good value for the money if IT LASTS BEYOND 1 YEAR. I will update this review as necessary and if it fails right after the warranty period I will report and downgrade this review to 1 star. These companies need to learn the importance of reliability and correct these issues. When I first reviewed the NARWAL it had almost a perfect 5 star review from all customers. After the year was up and it failed that star rating went down to 3+ stars. Most reviews reported their robovac/mop just died like mine did after the warranty period. I downgraded my review and reported the issue. I'm hoping this one will last because at the moment I am VERY satisfied with it like most customers. This model has been on the market much longer at the time of purchase so I would suspect if there were any reliability flaws they would have been addressed and corrected by now. We shall see. At this time I highly recommend!!

Excellent Robot Vacuum, Especially for the Price
Size: 11S, Size: 11S
I have been an iRobot Roomba buyer since 2007. My last Roomba bit the dust this month, and I did a ton of research before buying a replacement. I went with the Eufy for a few reasons: price point, cleaning power, quietness, and sleek design. Price: Very reasonable. Almost reasonable enough that I'd consider getting another one for my second floor. For now I'll just carry it upstairs. Cleaning power: This thing sucks... It's suction is much stronger than my Roombas have had. It picks up so much dust and pet hair. We do a full vacuum every other week with my Dyson, so I think of the robot vacuum as a supplemental vacuum. I was shocked at how much was in the dustbin after it's inaugural cleaning! The picture attached to this is from that cleaning. It also gets a ton of dust in the little dust filter. In one of the video reviews I watched, the reviewer said it didn't pick up anything in that dust filter... So maybe my carpet is particularly dusty, because it has a thick layer after each cleaning. Quietness: I work from my home office, and this thing is quiet enough that I don't even turn it off during conference calls. This might be the thing I am most impressed with. My last Roomba was LOUD-- you couldn't even have a conversation with someone in the same room, let alone someone on speakerphone. Sleek design: I love/hate this. It definitely looks modern and cool, and more like an art piece than an appliance, but it shows all my finger prints, and now I keep a glasses cleaning cloth nearby so I can rub it down. I suppose if I only use the remote and never pick it up, this won't be an issue. A few considerations: I was hoping to find a robot vacuum that wouldn't eat my carpets' tassels, but I don't think that vacuum exists. I have only used the Eufy 4 times so far, and it doesn't always get its brushes wrapped around the long tassels, but it does sometimes. It seems to realize it sooner than my Roomba did at least. The Roomba would sometimes rip gobs of them off in a single cleaning. I try to tuck them under the edge of the rug and that doesn't seem to bother Eufy. It has pulled off probably 2 tassels so far. The cleaning pattern seems pretty random. I saw some other vacuums that chart out complex maps of your home, and Eufy doesn't seem to do that. But, it doesn't seem to matter, because it still hits every spot in the rooms. I'm a little concerned about durability. My Roombas ran for many, many years with easily replaceable parts. We'll have to see if Eufy has the same longevity. All in all- I'm very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it!

Robot Vacuum With Decent Cleaning but Too Much Maintenance
Size: E28
This robot vacuum was fairly simple to set up, and the battery life is actually pretty good. When it comes to cleaning, it does a solid job picking up dirt and debris, and overall the suction works well for everyday vacuuming. However, the navigation and sensors really missed the mark for me. It struggled to recognize certain items around my house. For example, the mat under my cat’s food bowl kept getting caught because the vacuum didn’t detect it properly. It also had trouble recognizing furniture like my ottomans and would repeatedly run into them. Another issue was how it handled different floor types. It’s supposed to be able to recognize surfaces like carpet versus hard flooring, but that didn’t always work correctly. At one point it even tried cleaning my carpet when it shouldn’t have. It also struggled with room detection and didn’t consistently recognize different areas of my home, even when placed directly in them. I bought this hoping for more of a “set it and forget it” type of appliance since I work a lot and wanted something that would keep my floors clean without much attention. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. I often had to redo the mapping or move the vacuum around so it could recognize spaces and objects properly. There were a few positives though. The app is very helpful and easy to use, and the vacuum communicates clearly through notifications. It lets you know when things like the water level or cleaning bin need attention, which I appreciated. Maintenance like emptying it isn’t required very often either. It’s also a little noisy. Not extremely loud, but it talks frequently and you definitely know when it’s running. Since I work third shift and sleep during the day, that was a bit frustrating. Another issue was that it struggled to cross small entry thresholds between rooms. Even a small lip between rooms would sometimes stop it from moving into another space. In the end, I decided to return it. While it does vacuum fairly well, the navigation issues and constant adjustments made it more of a hassle than a convenience. For the price, I expected something more hands-off, and unfortunately it required more attention than it was worth for me.

Great and Easy to Use!
Size: 11S
Background: I have a shedding dog, so I bought this in hopes that by running it every-day, it would pick up on some of the dog hair on the floor. What I like: -VERY easy to use. -easy to follow instructions -has a sticker on the bottom so if it ever stops and beeps, you can flip it over and it says exactly what the beeps mean (one beep means one thing, two beeps means another--which is SUPER helpful!). -color on top clearly shows what mode it is in (blue-ready to go, orange-needs to charge, red-problem to fix-such as emptying the tray). -very quiet. I can work on stuff with it in the room and it does not bother me at all (my dog also does not mind it). -works great on white carpet and easily transitions from my living room to dining room (which has a slight bump). -when its low on battery, it does not die where it is at, it just turns off the vacuum then finds the home doc and charges itself. -just works really well. I run it everyday and I am impressed by how much stuff it gets (especially when it goes under things such as the couch). -if it gets caught on a cord, it usually takes 5-10 seconds but then it stops the suctioning and moves away (releasing the cord or other item). However if you have a small cord you should put it up (and you should regardless, I just noticed it doing this a few times and thought it was neat, but I do try to pick up all cords). What could be improved: -nothing really in particular to this. -It does not work well on anything black, but this is true for all robot vacuums. It sometimes gets stuck when it goes on the black carpet we have with the black chairs (I suspect because it can not detect them), but this has not happened often. My dog has a black mat for her food and water and it always bumps into it and spills the water, but again, this would occur with any robot vacuum. -Also, make sure the doc is against a wall because otherwise it will move and never charge (self explanatory, but I did not do the first time and it kept trying to doc and was just pushing the doc around the floor). -Finally, you do have to dump out the vacuum particles almost every time you run it (if you do a full circle/battery cycle). It is really easy to dump and beeps when it needs to be emptied. Again, nothing really negative, just something to note. Overall, I really like this! It does a nice job cleaning up the dog hair and other things that get on my floor and saves me a lot of time not vacuuming daily. If you have a dog, I would watch them with this first before you use it. My dog was initially scared of it but sniffed it's "butt" and now they are cool and she does not mind it at all. Pleased with this product and would recommend! :) **UPDATE** On another note, Eufy has amazing customer service! I received an email from them addressing each of my "what could be improved" components with more information on the product. Very impressed.
